Taish is set to release on October 29 only on ZEE5
With the trailer releasing on Thursday, this ZEE5 original has intrigued a lot of the viewers with the first few shots of its trailer and has garnered over 7 million views to date. Accompanying the sound of the gunshot, you will meet the five central characters around whom the whole story revolves and this character has been played by Pulkit Samrat, Kirti Kharbanda, Jim Sarbh, Harshvardhan Rane, and Sanjeeda Shaikh. From its release, #Taish and #AnythingForFamily have been trending through social media platforms in wait for its release.
An Interesting Plot
With the onset of the trailer, we are introduced to two brothers, played by Sarbh and Samrat who can be seen enjoying a countryside family wedding. The two brothers seem to be cool and fun guys who enjoy a rich and flamboyant lifestyle. The third character to be introduced is played by Rane and is made as a character who only knows to kill and making it what he does for a living. The question that this trailer has raised among the viewers triggering their interest is the relationship between this ruthless deadly character that Rane plays and the rich happy-go-lucky character that Samrat portrays. The only thing that we came to know through the trailer is that there will definitely be a lot of bloodshed and action within this ZEE5 original production.
All in all, Taish directed by Bejoy Nambiar appears to be a revenge drama packed with a lot of drama, suspense, action, and romance. But, being an ensemble film with the story focusing on multiple characters Nambiar admitted that it was a tough task for him to convince the artistes to take part in his film. He said that the majority of the ensembles that we see belong to the comedy genre and not in spaces like drama or thriller genres. As the film did not focus on one particular character that plays the ‘hero’ but on how the story proceeds through the duration, it was understandable for him why some actors would not be comfortable acting as a part of multi-starrers so he was grateful to all the cast for accepting it just the way it is seeing the potential in it.
Bejoy Nambiar also recalled being rejected by an actor who cited his role consisted of merely 15 pages without reading through the whole script. To this Pulkit Sharma gave his insight that an actor should not have any problem with ensemble films if they are aware and convinced about the director’s capabilities since not many will be able to handle such cases, and working with three such filmmakers throughout his career – Zoya Akhtar, Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, and finally Bejoy – he concluded that these insecurities that limit the actors from being a part of such ensembles arises only when the script is assessed with a narrow and selfish perspective.
Taish will premier only on ZEE5 both as a six-part series and as a film from 29th of October making it a one of a kind project that will have two versions released simultaneously.
